Ready

THE DEFINITION OF SPRING BREAK.

The week everyone gets to have a rest from all the treacherous and tormenting works of winter.

For some, it's staying home and relaxing.

For others, it's going on an adventure.

For me, it's going to Oregon to ski on Mount Bachelor for the weekend.

YES.

And then I'm getting braces on Tuesday.

Fun?

I think not.

But I will live.

What colors should I get? ANSWER ME!

Alrighty, Spring Break, I'm ready for you; ready for the luxurious weekend...

...and (ironically) ready for the braces.

Happy St. Patty's Day.
I'll be off in Twin Falls for a basketball tournament while you all enjoy your green day.

The Green Grass Grows

Life has been a blur these past two weeks. I can't exactly remember anything, so I'm going to put events in a random sequence.

The common cold has been going around, and I caught it.

AAU season ended; our record was 7-3, which isn't too bad.

I feel sick after eating Pop Tarts.

Cooper's ear puffed up, so it looks like a balloon now. We have to pop it...gross.

I can't think of any story ideas.

Spaghetti and chocolate milk is all I want.

I have about 37 pairs of shoes.

I grew a quarter of an inch.

Meredith just got here.

I have my future planned out: I'm going to go to vet school, become a world-famous veterinarian, and write several books with my photography in it. And if I'm lucky, I'll get to play basketball in Europe. All four dreams in one job. Then I'll get married to a hot hunk, live in a mansion off of Homer Road, and have three kids. Two girls and one boy. I'll also have a beagle named Pookie.

Nani's funeral was very emotional, yet very comforting knowing that she's in a better place now.

I've gone skiing only once this year.

Justin Bieber turned 17 on March 1st!!!

I bought Pimple Popper for the iPad. That's some intense stuff.

I have a crush on someone...

I want the iPhone 4. So bad.

I just counted. I now have 38 pairs of shoes.

Cooper's getting fat.

I rolled my ankle the other day, so I wear a brace in games.

I dance around when no one is watching.

Meredith is sleeping.

I didn't get a valentine on Valentine's Day:(

Spring is coming; I can't wait.

We have 62 more days of school left.

I had an All-Star basketball game on Friday; we killed 'em. :D

Mom is baking a cake right now.

I have a short temper.

I can't sit still...I think I have A.D.D.

I'm getting braces in two weeks.

I trimmed my hair to get rid of all the split ends I've pulled.

I get to go to Twin Falls for a basketball tournament!

I'm alive and I'm happy.

And that was my long two weeks made short. Thank you.

For Nani

You are 84 years old.
You fell the other day, breaking your femur as you did so.
You developed pneumonia.
You miss Papa (grandpa).
You haven't been enjoying your life since Papa died 10 years ago, and you do not want to go on.
You don't eat.
You refuse medications and machines and surgeries.
You won't get out of bed.
You hate the hospital.

I understand.

Even though you probably won't read this, I hope you know that I love you, and I wish you a happy life up in heaven with Papa.

Your granddaughter,

♥ Abigail ♥

2/20: I wrote this in honor of my grandmother, Nani, who passed away at exactly 7:28 p.m. on Saturday night. She was longing to be back with my Papa, who died of a liver disease ten years ago. After falling in her apartment and breaking her femur, she went to the hospital where pneumonia came in the picture and her bones started getting weaker. As a result of this, fluid filled up in her lungs, making her breathing much heavier. By Friday she was ready to die. Finally, on Saturday evening, Nani took her last breaths and died peacefully with 7 of her 8 children in the room. Though it was mournful, it was a good feeling to know that she is now in a better place. And that place is home with my Papa.

For Tanner

Notice: This was last summer when I had a huge gap in my teeth. No worries, it's gone now.

Tanner!

I know you only read my blog once every six weeks. I know you probably don't have time for this post, considering the fact that you're out living a perfect life. But I also know that you love me, and that means I get to congratulate you.

For what?

For getting scholarship offers from Boise State, BYU, University of Utah, and University of Arkansas!

Because you were born with the gift of football, you get to choose from four colleges to play your sport. And you're only a junior right now, so there are probably several more offers to come. Personally I think you should go to BSU; you would be the Hometown Hero then. But you know what? It's your opinion that counts.

I'm proud of you, brother. Before we know it you'll be in the NFL passing to Austin Collie or Terrell Owens or Larry Fitzgerald or even Reggie Wayne. I can't wait.

I love you, Tanner.

Did you know that?!

♥ Abigail ♥

P.S. GO PACKERS!!!
