Being Sick
Said little Peggy Ann McKay.
"I have the measles and the mumps,
A gash, a rash and purple bumps.
My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,
I'm going blind in my right eye.
My tonsils are as big as rocks,
I've counted sixteen chicken pox
And there's one more--that's seventeen,
And don't you think my face looks green?
My leg is cut--my eyes are blue--
It might be instamatic flu.
I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke,
I'm sure that my left leg is broke--
My hip hurts when I move my chin,
My belly button's caving in,
My back is wrenched, my ankle's sprained,
My 'pendix pains each time it rains.
My nose is cold, my toes are numb.
I have a sliver in my thumb.
My neck is stiff, my voice is weak,
I hardly whisper when I speak.
My tongue is filling up my mouth,
I think my hair is falling out.
My elbow's bent, my spine ain't straight,
My temperature is one-o-eight.
My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear,
There is a hole inside my ear.
I have a hangnail, and my heart is--what?
What's that? What's that you say?
You say today is. . .Saturday?
G'bye, I'm going out to play!"

Green Thumb

To me, life just isn't the same without green. Green is the color that shows plants are blooming. Green is the color that can really make a home feel like home. Green can cheer you up. Green can even be a sign of good luck. But most importantly, green is the sign of St. Patty's Day.
Legend says that in the early years of the earth, a man named Patrick was a saint. They say he threw out all the snakes that slithered around Ireland. They also say that he was Christian, and since many of the people of Ireland had no religious belief, Saint Patrick taught Christianity to them.
I cannot live without green because - maybe you don't exactly notice it, but - I'm an environmentally friendly person. I recycle the things that should be recycled, I help my mother with the garden, (we're going to have to start all over with this new house) I care about the animals in the wild, and I also don't pollute and just throw things on the ground. Many of you who know me probably don't see it in me, but it's true.
So, Happy St. Patrick's Day to you. :)

Travel Team
I hope you're all enjoying Thanksgiving month, and I hope that when it comes, your Thanksgiving Day will be great! We're doing the same tradition: going to Utah for a big feast at my grandma's on the night before Thanksgiving, going to Nani's for a feast on the big day, Christmas and birthday shopping, Parker's birthday on the 27th, then going home soon after that. Then we'll prepare for my birthday "party" which will be on the 3rd, and then we'll drive to Utah on my birthday, the 4th. We'll go back to Utah for Parker's wedding on the 5th. It'll be great, great, great! Enjoy November and all it has to offer!

Yep, that's my list. And in case you don't know where Hidden Springs is, it's about ten minutes away from Boise. Since there are no outlet malls or general stores, the citizens drive to Eagle for their needs. It's the cutest little community, though. The houses are nice, (the garages are in the back of them!) there's at least a small mercantile and cafe, the sight is beautiful, and there's wide open space which is great for kids and animals. I'm not planning on moving there, but maybe when I'm older it wouldn't hurt to live there temporarily.
I'm excited for Halloween!!! I'm gonna be a rapper. Maddie, if you read this, I need those baggy pants with money signs all over by the 30th. I need my costume planned out for the big night! I'm excited!!!
School's awesome. Not much boy crisis, and if there was, I wouldn't go deep into the details like I used to. (The boy I used to be addicted to found my blog!) Anyway, school is just...AWESOME. I'm becoming obsessed with other schools when we go to them for basketball games. It's just awesome to be inside schools you've never been to. :D
Peace out, homie dawg.

July Fever
Nothing beats July. It's not my all-time favorite month, but it's one of my favorites. I love to swim, go on vacation, (I'm in Oregon right now, woo hoo!) and hang out with friends.
I think I have July fever. I don't know why, it just is. I think it's the fireworks that keeps me high-spirited. As my friends, Ashley, Blake, and I were talking about our 4th of July, I spoke up about different types of fireworks. One was called the Blue Orchid, (I know, I know, fireworks have sucky names) and my family pretended it was the Timberline High School Firework. When we lit it up, NOTHING HAPPENED.
"NOOOOO!" I yelled. "TIMBERLINE IS NOT NOTHING. IT IS THE GREATEST SCHOOL EVER!!!" OK, so I know that's weird to say, but oh well.
My 4th of July was lazy. We sat around all day, and then when our neighbors the Peays came over for a BBQ, we weren't lazy anymore. We ate burgers and drank soda, and talked about life. Then, we opened our big box of fireworks and started lighting them up with a candle lighter. My brother Tanner lit them up.
Again, I think I have July fever. I hope you do, too, because JULY FEVER IS GOOD! See you later, y'all!
